Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have resumed Ha. Ihavandhoo Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project on July 12, 2023.
MTCC also updated on ongoing works stated that 77% of sand bund wall works around the reclaimed area, 53% rock boulder revetment works, and 54% dredging and reclamation has been completed, while overall 61% of the project has been completed and is underway.
Under the project, 25 hectoers of land will be reclaimed and 850 meter rock boulder revetment will be constructed.
The MVR116.94 million project was awarded to the company back in November 10, 2020.
