65% of R. Dhuvaafaru Road Development Project completed: MTCC

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 65% of the Road Development project of R. Dhuvaafaru (phase 2) has been completed. 

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that they have completed subbase and subgrade works of carriageway and installation of stormwater infiltration system. Sidewalk pavements works are ongoing, with 65% completion.

Under the project, works will be carried out on 9 roads with a length of 17790 square meters. Pavements will be constructed in an area of 6923 square meters, an area of 17790 square meters of roads will be developed for driving, and a water drainage system will be constructed. In addition, installation of street lights and road signs will be undertaken. 

The value of the project is MVR 37.8 million.

The first phase of the Dhuvaafaru Road Development project was completed by MTCC in February last year. Under phase one, 2.7 kilometers long 12 roads have been paved.
