A new Commander has been appointed by Maldives Police to head their Upper North Division.

In a tweet Maldives Police made the announcement of the appointment of Chief Inspector of Police Fathmath Naswa to the position further highlighting that she is the second female officer to be appointed to the role of a Division Commander of Maldives Police.

The first appointment was Izmia Zahir, who was appointed to lead the division constituting of the atolls, Noonu, Raa, Baa and Lhaviyani.

Upper North Police Division includes the atolls of Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal and Shaviyani.
