Kulhudhuffushi City Council has signed an agreement to provide “School Grants” for the year 2025 to the city’s three government schools. The signing ceremony, held yesterday, was attended by the Mayor of Kulhudhuffushi City, school principals, teachers, and members of the City Council.
Under this grant program, similar to last year, each school will receive MVR 100,000. The City Council stated that the primary objective of this grant is to improve school standards and support ongoing activities aimed at student development.
The council explained that this grant initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to further advance the city’s educational sector. They also emphasized that the grant will enable schools to acquire additional resources and create more opportunities to provide quality education to students.
Furthermore, the City Council mentioned that the purpose of this grant is to recognize and support the fundraising efforts of the schools’ Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) for school development. This initiative demonstrates the council’s commitment to collaborating with and supporting such developmental activities.
