Handball tournament of the Foakaidhoo Council Sports Fiesta 2022 has started.
So far 4 matches of the tournament has played. Foakaidhoo Health Center won the first match of the tournament against Blood Brothers. WDC team won second match against Madu Fehi Sports Club. In the first match played yesterday Fenaka Foakaidhoo Handball Team won the match against Foakaidhoo Health Center. And in the second match played yesterday Blood Brothers won the match against Madu Fehi Sports Club.
Two matches will be played today in the tournament. The first match will be played between WDC Team and Fenaka at 1600hrs, while the second match will be played between Foakaidhoo Health Center and Madu Fehi Sports Club at 1700 hrs.
A total of five teams participated in the tournament. The teams are Fokaidhoo Health Centre, Blood Brothers, Madugreen Sports Club, WDC and Fenaka Fokaidhoo Handball Team.
The tournament is planned in a way that each team meets each other and the two team with the highest points to reach the final. The final match of the tournament is scheduled to be played on December 18.
The tournament is organized by Foakaidhoo Council with the objective of reviving the spirit of Hanball in Foakaidhoo and producing talented Handball players in the Island.
