The contract for the construction of the new building required to commence dental and X-ray services at Hdh. Nolhivaram Health Centre has been awarded to a party.
The Ministry of Health awarded this work to a company named LMA Investment. The ceremony for signing the agreement for this work was held today.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health by State Minister for Health, Ismail Shareef. Signing on behalf of LMA Investment was the company’s Chief Operations Officer, Moosa Nazmee. The Member of Parliament for the Nolhivaram constituency, Mohamed Rasheed, also participated in the ceremony.
This project is an important undertaking to initiate dental care and X-ray services for the residents of Nolhivaram.
Under this project, a new building will be constructed at Nolhivaram Health Centre, including a dental room, an X-ray room, and an additional consultation room. The total cost of this work is estimated to be 1.7 million Rufiyaa. The period allocated for completing the work is 180 days.
Upon completion of this project and the commencement of the new services, the need for Nolhivaram residents to travel for healthcare will be reduced, and health services will be further expanded. It is expected that this will provide significant relief, especially for those who currently have to travel outside the island for dental treatment.
