Farhath Mohamed, Member of Parliament for the Kulhudhuffushi South constituency, has announced that work has begun to alleviate the difficulties in obtaining medical oxygen, following an increase in the demand for healthcare services in the North of the Maldives, particularly from Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, which plays a vital role in providing health services to the residents of the northern islands. MP Farhath revealed this information in a post he made on Facebook today regarding the matter. In the post, MP Farhath stated that the shipment of machinery required to upgrade the Maldives Gas plant established in Kulhudhuffushi has commenced. The MP also noted that this is an important step towards finding a permanent solution to the difficulties faced by the people of the North in accessing medical oxygen. “Given the increased demand for healthcare services at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital and generally across the North of the Maldives, I would like to bring to the attention of all beloved citizens that the shipment of machinery required to upgrade the Maldives Gas plant established in Kulhudhuffushi has commenced, in order to alleviate the difficulties in obtaining medical oxygen for those seeking healthcare services,” said Farhath Mohamed, Member of Parliament for the Kulhudhuffushi South constituency. It is anticipated that this initiative will resolve the medical oxygen shortage faced by Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital and provide significant relief to those seeking healthcare services across all the northern islands. Furthermore, MP Farhath stated that once the machinery is installed, the supply of medical oxygen will be expedited, and the quality of service will improve.
