The Maldives national women’s 4×100 meters relay team has clinched the bronze medal at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championship 2025, held at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Ranchi, India.
The team featuring Ahuna Nizar from Kulhudhuffushi City, along with Aishath Shaba Saleem, Hawwa Muzna Faiz, and Ziva Moosa Shafeeu finished the race in 47.79 seconds, earning third place behind Sri Lanka and India.
Sri Lanka secured gold with a time of 44.70 seconds, while India took silver, completing the race in 44.93 seconds.
Ahuna, who hails from the “Heart of the North,” has achieved multiple national-level successes and continues to shine on the regional stage. The Maldivian delegation also includes Hussain Riza, another athlete from Kulhudhuffushi, reflecting the city’s growing prominence in national athletics.
