A fire broke out at a house in Kulhudhuffushi City on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), a fire broke out in the ‘Signal’ house in Kulhudhuffushi City.
MNDF Northern Area Command, Kulhudhuffushi Fire Station received information about the fire at 13:17 hrs. On receiving the information, MNDF Northern Area Command Kulhudhuffushi Fire Station firefighters rushed to the incident and doused the flames at around 14:12 hrs. Moreover, MNDF stated that no one was injured in the incident, but the house was badly damaged.
Regarding the incident National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that the Kulhudhuffushi city’s signal house was damaged to the extent that it could not be used for living in the fire that broke out yestrerday. Therefore, NDMA is coordinating with the Kulhudhuffushi City Council to assist the family living in the house.
