To make Ha. Ihavandhoo a more greener island, plants have been donated to the island by Ha. Maafahi.
Maafahi is an island used by the Seagull Group for farming. The Seagull Group has donated 205 saplings as part of Ihavandhoo Council’s tree donation program to make Ihavandhoo greener.
Among the trees donated are shade trees and garden trees. Speaking about ihavandhoo greening program, president of the council, Ahmed Sobah stated that this is the second such program conducted by the council and it has been decided to plant the garden trees in the children’s park area and the trees that provide shade will be planted in the harbour area.
Sobah thanked Seagull Group for responding to the council’s request for the program and extending their support.
