84% of Ha. Baarah Channel and Maintenance Dredging Project completed

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 84% of Ha. Baarah Channel and Maintenance Dredging Project has been completed.

MTCC also updated ongoing works stating that they have delivered full shipment of geobags to the project site, and Channel dredging and maintenance dredging work for the project has been completed. And 58% of Geobag revetment installation work has been completed and underway.

Under the project MTCC have to carry out 79,100 cubic meter channel dredging operations, 8,600 cubic meter maintenance dredging operations, construction of a 460 meter geobag revetment and installation of navigational lights.

The value of the project is MVR 14.57 million.

In the past four years, MTCC has completed several harbour construction, land reclamation and coastal protection projects.
