Team Heevesnuvey has won ‘Dhidhdhoo Kan’balunge Third Handball Tournament’.
In the final match of the tournament played on Tuesday evening, team Heevesnuvey won the match against Fatho Academy 16-13.
Top seven players of the tournament are: Fathimath Junaa / Team Heevesnuvey, Firshana Naseer/ Team Heevesnuvey, Aminath Rishtha / Naad Sports Club, Shizna Rasheed / Fatho Academy, Zuha Hussain / Fatho Academy, Aminath Nishwa / Team Heevesnuvey, Athfa Abdulla Saeed/ Fatho Academy.
Fatho Academy Junior was selected as the fairplay team of the tournament, while coach of team Heevesnuvey Ahmed Zahir was selected as the best coach. Fathimath Junaa was the top scorer of the tournament.
The tournament was jointly organized by Dhidhdhoo Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) of the island. Tournament was held for the teams from government offices, state-owned companies and registered clubs/organizations in the island.
