Hoarafushi Office Exceed Nine a Side Football Tournament is set to begin tonight.
The tournament is organized collaboratively by Hoarafushi Council and Exceed Maldives.
The tournament is open to government offices and companies in Hoarafushi. Three teams participated in this year’s tournament. The teams are Hoarafushi Airport, Hoarafushi Fenaka and Hoarafushi Police.
In the first match of the tournament to be played at Hoarafushi Club Football Stadium, Hoarafushi Airport will play against Hoarafushi Fenaka at 20:30hrs.
The tournament has been planned in such a way that the two teams with the most points make it to the final after each team competes with each other. The final match of the tournament is scheduled to be played on the night of February 24.
A cash prize of MVR 15,000 will be given to the winning team and MVR 5,000 to the runners-up. This is the third time that Hoarafushi Council is hosting the tournament.
