A Police Post has been opened and services have been started yesterday in Ha. Filladhoo and HDh. Kurinbi.
At a special ceremony held at Kurinbi, Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau and Kurinbi Council President Abdulla Aslam inaugurated the Police Post in Kurinbi.
At a special ceremony held at Filladhoo, Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau and Filladhoo Council President Fathuhullah Hassan inaugurated the Police Post in Filladhoo.
After the opening of police posts in Kurinbi and Filladhoo, the national flag and police flag were hoisted at the police posts.
Speaking at the launch ceremony of the Police Service in Kurinbi, Commissioner of Police Shujau stated that the establishment of the police force to prevent new crimes, cyber scams, domestic violence and child neglect in the island and to protect and educate the people against drug abuse would be an added strength.
Speaking at the opening of the Police Post in Filladhoo, Commissioner of Police Shujau noted that Filladhoo is home to a group of people who live in a non-violent and secure society. He also urged the police to ensure that the island is safe and secure in collaboration with the local institutions in the island.
