The seminar aimed at Women’s Development Committees (WDC) of the islands of Bodu Thiladhunmathi held at Kulhudhuffushi City has concluded successfully.
The two-day seminar was held last weekend. A total of 39 WDCs from Haa Alifu Atoll, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Shaviyani Atoll participated in the seminar.
The seminar was organized by Hope for Women’s Association with the assistance of Asia Foundation in collaboration with Kulhudhuffushi City Council and Kulhudhuffushi City WDC.
Speaking about the seminar, Kulhudhuffushi City WDC Member Akbari Mohamed stated that the seminar had sessions on the challenges faced by women in politics and how to overcome them. The session was also held to ensure compliance with the rules of the WDCs.
Hope for Women’s co-founder Aneesha Ahmed and Chairperson Ahmed Anwar attended the seminar.
