The Pakistan Government has assured that they will support the development needs of Maldives.
The reassurance was conveyed by Anwaar-ul Haq Kakar, the 8th caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, during a telephone conversation with the President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu yesterday.
During the telephone conversation, both leaders discussed ways to fortify the bilateral ties between the two nations. They also discussed the top priorities for the countries, and spoke on enhancing cooperation in the international arena.
Moreover, speaking with the President, the 8th caretaker Prime Minister additionally conveyed his support and assistance to the Maldives’ efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Diplomatic Relations between Maldives and Pakistan was established on July 26, 1966.
