Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the final shipment of rock boulders required for the Sh. Lhaimagu Harbour Development Project has been delivered to the project site.
MTCC also updated ongoing works stating that 78% of revetment profiling work has been completed.
Under the project to develop Lhaimagu Harbour, the company has to carry out 24,343 cubic meter of new harbor basin dredging operation, 14,412 cubic meter existing harbour basin dredging operations, 6,000 cubic meter channel dredging operations, construction of a 414 meter quay wall, a 350 meter breakwater, 500 meter revetment, 50 meter groyne, ramp, 2291 square meter harbour pavement, installation of navigational and harbour lights.
The project is worth MVR 60.70 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
