HDh. Vaikaradhoo Council has amended the policy for allotment of land plots to be provided for residential purpose and opened for applications.
According to the announcement by Vaikaradhoo Council, policy made and published by council regarding the allotment of land for the residential purpose in the island and gazetted on December 31, 2023 is now amended.
In this regard, the policy was amended in the general meeting of the Council held on January 23, 2024 and on January 24, 2024, the revised policy was gazetted. Therefore, the Vaikaradhoo Council has opened applications from eligible applicants to apply for a land plots for residential purpose before 13:00hrs of Monday, March 25, 2024.
A total of 107 plots will be allotted from the island in this round, out of 107 plots 42 plots will be provided from western side of the island and 65 will be provided from the eastern side of the island. And these plots will be ranged from 2,500 to 3,000 square feet.
Moreover, according to council, application form will be available from council and can be submitted to council from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs on official days during the stipulated period. Form can be submitted via email as well. ([email protected]) In addition council request those who submit application form via email to confirm whether council have received the form by contacting council 6520046 during official working hours.
