Asphalt laying works under second phase of Kulhudhuffushi City Road Development Project started

Asphalt laying works on Kulhudhuffushi City ‘Maitumagu’ has begun.

The government has awarded the project to the Road Development Corporation (RDC). The company started asphalt laying works on the ‘maitumagu’ began yesterday.

The second phase of Kulhudhuffushi city’s road modernization project was officially launched last year.

A total of 37,633 meters of roads, including 24 roads in Kulhudhuffushi City, will be developed in the MVR 1 million project. Under the project sidewalks, storm water drainage system, speed breakers and streetlights will be installed.

In addition, government also awarded installation of speed breakers, street lights and zebra cross along 13 roads developed in phase 1 of the project to RDC.
