A police post will be opened in HDh. Kurinbi on February 1 and final preparations are underway to formally start police service in the island.
HDh. Atoll Police commander, Superintendent of Police Rahma Saeed visited the island Thursday to review the latest preparations for the post and hold a meeting with the island council.
Speaking regarding the latest preparations of the police post works, Kurinbi Council President Abdulla Aslam stated that the Island will have a lot of benefits with the official commencement of police service in the island. This will make it easier for the police to carry out their activities successfully with full cooperation in many matters related to the civilians of the island.
Aslam added that though theft and other crimes were rarely reported in the island, the island is a comfortable place with a crime-free and secure environment. He noted that with the introduction of police service, the island’s atmosphere will become even safer and it will be easier to carry out the activities of the island in accordance with the rules and regulations.
