Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council has passed the decision not to hold the Chess Tournament, which was included in its annual calendar for 2024.
‘Haa Dhaalu Atoll Chess Tournament’, which was included in the atoll council’s annual calendar, was passed not to be held at the 120th General Meeting of the Atoll Council held on Thursday.
According to a document released by the Atoll Council to inform the decisions made on council’s 120th General Meeting, the chess tournament included in the annual calendar to be open to the children of schools and the general public will not be held.
Although the chess tournament has been cancelled, atoll council has been organizing Quran Competition and Volleyball Tournament for both genders, at atoll level every year.
