Real Star has won the ‘30 Championship 2023′ Football Tournament organized by Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya (HZJ) to mark its 30th anniversary.
In the first match played at Hanimaadhoo Football Ground last evening, Rooh played against Real Star. Real Star won the match with a huge margin of 8-0. Ufaal Abdulla from Real Star was selected as the best player of the match. He scored a hattrick in the final match.
Abdulla Mohamed from Rooh was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament while Samhan from Rooh was selected as the best young player of the tournament. Rooh was also selected as the fairplay team of the tournament.
Moreover, Abdulla Misbah of Uniform was selected the best midfielder of the tournament. Two players have been named as the tournament’s top scorer. They are Abdulla Misbah of Uniform and Naufal Abdul Rauoof of Shield. Each of these players scored seven goals. Real Star’s coach Ahmed Ashraf was selected as the best coach of the tournament
Furthermore, Real Star’s Mooda Kauyash was selected as the best defender of the tournament while Shield’s Naufal Abdul Rauoof was selected as the best forward of the tournament. Naufal was also selected as the player of the tournament.
The objectives of organizing the tournament include increasing the love for football among the youth of the island, providing them the opportunity to play football in a competitive environment and promoting football in Hanimaadhoo.
The first island-level football tournament by Hanimaadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya was held in the island back in December 1999, and it was called Saas Cup. And for the last 10 tournaments held by the organization from 2002 to 2021 were held as Adam Saleem Cup. However, as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the organization, the name of the tournament has been changed to make the tournament special for it.
