HDh. Nellaidhoo Bashi Team has won ‘Kulhudhuffushi Bashiboalha Tournament – Haa Dhaalu Atoll League 2023’ organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council in collaboration with Women’s Development Committee (WDC).
In the final match of the tournament played on Monday evening, Nellaidhoo Bashi Team defeated Kulhudhuffushi Team Corals to win the tournament. Last year, the two teams met in the final of the tournament and Team Corals won the tournament by a narrow margin.
Top eight players of the tournament are: Aishath Rasheedha – Nellaidhoo Bashi Team, Asima Adam – Team Corals, Raihana Hassan – Team Corals, Zahiya Dawood – Dhethan’dimaa, Zaeema Dawood – Team Corals, Zuyyina Adam – Dhethan’dimaa, Sahama Ibrahim – Nellaidhoo Bashi Team, and Shabana Ibrahim – Team Maglas.
Moreover, Team Maglas was selected as the fairplay team of the tournament, while The Dhethan’dimaa team finished third in the tournament. Khadheeja Mohamed of Team Corals was selected as the best coach of the tournament while Mariyam Moosa of Team Zigzag was selected as the best manager. Zigzag’s Aishath Mufeedha was selected as the best veteran player of the tournament. The most promising player of the tournament is Mariyam Rifa of Nellaidhoo Bashi Team.
Furthermore. Corals’ Raihana Hassan was the top scorer of the tournament. Zaeema Dawood of Corals was selected as the best catcher of the tournament. Asima Adam of Corals was selected as the Bashi Raanee (player of the tournament).
The winning team was awarded with MVR 25,000, while the runners-up was awarded with MVR 15,000. MVR 3,000 was awarded to the Bashi Queen of the tournament, MVR 1,500 to the best catcher and MVR 1,500 to the best shooter.
