Kulhudhuffushi City Council has awarded theĀ development of a Public Library in Kulhudhuffushi City to the contractor.
The council awarded the project to Gibbs Logistics Private Limited. The Public Library will be developed on a part of the building where previously the market was on the island. Moreover, city council has also included in the plan to develop a museum in the building. However, it was decided that the work would be carried out in the second phase.
Under the project to develop the Public Library, the contractor have to carry out installation of sealing, installation of ACs, and installation of cement flooring. It also includes installation of vinyls, lighting and electricity networks, library bookshelves, interior work, furniture for library and meeting rooms, and computer systems for the library.
Furthermore, developing three meeting rooms and study rooms, a digital kiosk for people with special needs, changes to the doors of the building, painting inside and outside the building, preparing nameboards, constructing access ramps, and creating drain pits to drain out water from the roof of the building.
The MVR 1,888,380 project was awarded to the contractor to be completedĀ within 129 days.
