HDh. Makunudhoo Preschool operations awarded to Naares Preschool

HDh. Makunudhoo Council has handed over the operation of Makunudhoo Preschool to Naares Preschool.

The agreement between Makunudhoo Council and Naares Preschool to run the Makunudhoo Preschool was signed last Tuesday.

Under the agreement, council awarded the Preschool to Naares Preschool for MVR 400,000 per year, for a period of four years.

According to Makunudhoo Council, Preschool was awarded to Naares with the aim of strengthening the foundation of early education for the children of Makunudhoo and to improve the quality of education provided to them. Moreover, council stated that as it a goal of council to provide quality foundation education to the children, it is a strong step towards achieving this goal.

At present, there is no specific place to teach nursery and baby nursery in Makunudhoo. Therefore, Makunudhoo Council has awarded the task of running a preschool in the island in order to provide opportunities for children of that age group to learn in the island.
