Basic Sewing Course held at HDh. Nolhivaranfaru concluded successfully

The Basic Sewing Course held in the HDh. Nolhivaranfaru by the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) has been concluded successfully.

The closing ceremony was held on the 7th of this month and 18 participants who completed the course were awarded with certificates.

The course, aimed at the women from the island began on November 15. In the course participants were taught how to make pillow covers, simple women pants, simple women dresses, niqab, etc. Moreover, participants were taught how to take measurements and cutting.

Furthermore, WDC thanked ‘Fanaaru’, Nolhivaranfaru Council and participants of the course for their support in conducting the course.

Nolhivaranfaru WDC has been actively working for capacity and skill development of citizens of the island. In addition to the sewing course, Nolhivaranfaru WDC has conducted pastry courses, Islamic funeral ritual courses, cake courses, Quran courses, and training program for island’s women to solve electric issue they face at home.
