A police post has been opened in HDh. Nellaidhoo and police service has begun on the island.
The police post was opened in the Nellaidhoo and services officially started on Saturday. Acting Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Police Faruhadh Fikree and President of Nellaidhoo Council Mohamed Aleef inaugurated the police post.
The opening ceremony was attended by Executive Officers of Police, Commissioned Officers, Police Officials from Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Officials of Nellaidhoo Council, staff from other institutes of the island.
The post was opened on the island as part of the police’s efforts to decentralize and providing police service to the people closely.
