Kanditheemu are the champions of Mila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2023 organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council.
In the final match played at Goidhoo, Kanditheemu won the match against Goidhoo 3-2. Ibrahim Nadhadh from Kanditheemu was selected as the best player of the final match. Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Abdulla, Police Commander of Shaviyani Atoll, presided over the final.

Ibrahim Zaahee from Milandhoo was selected as the top scorer and best player of the tournament. Top five players of the tournament are: Mohamed Azumoon – Narudhoo, Raul Niyaz – Kanditheemu, Mohamed Shaan – Kanditheemu, Ahmed Shaanee – Milandhoo, and Ahmed Ahusham – Goidhoo. Abdulla Rilwan from Goidho was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Ahmed Hameesh was selected as the most promising player of the tournament.

The winning team was awarded with MVR 35,000 and runner-up team with MVR 15,000.
This year’s tournament was played in Maaungoodhoo and Goidhoo. The Group A matches were played in Sh. Goidhoo. The teams in the group are Kanditheemu, Feevah, Noomara, Feydhoo, Billeffahi, Foakaidhoo and Goidhoo. The Group B matches were played in Sh. Maaungoodhoo. The teams in the group are Lhaimagu, Milandhoo, Komandoo, Funadhoo, Maroshi, Narudhoo and Maaungoodhoo.
This year’s tournament is the second edition of the tournament and last year Funadhoo was the champion of the tournament.
