Jungle has won the Ihavandhoo Council Cup Futsal Tournament 2023, organized by Ha. Ihavandhoo Council.
In the final match played at Ihavandhoo Football Ground, the most successful team of the tournament, NVK played against team Jungle. Jungle won the match after penalties 6-5, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw in regular time. Jungle’s keeper Mohamed Adhil was selected as the best player of the final match. He stopped two penalties in the shootout.
Top five players of the tournament are: Shifaz Ibrahim – Jungle, Hassan Zaki – Jungle, Mohamed Adhil – Jungle, Mohamed Sajid – NVK, and Ahmed Bassam – NVK.
Moreover, Mohamed Madheeh of Team SC was selected as the Best Young Player of the tournament while Jungle’s coach Hussain Fayaz was selected as the best coach. The fairplay team of the tournament is the Kulhimagu. Shifaz Ibrahim of Jungle was selected as the best player of the tournament.
This is the sixth time Ihavandhoo Council has hosted the tournament. NVK was the most successful team in the tournament. They have won the tournament four times and this is the first time that Jungle has won the tournament.
