Fertilizers donated to some female farmers of Ha. Muraidhoo by Council

Ha. Muraidhoo Council has donated fertilizers to some women farming in the island.

Fertilizers were donated as part of “Economically Empowering Women” initiative under Gender Equality Action Plan of Muraidhoo Council.

According to Muraidhoo Council, five women farmers in the island has been provided with fertilizers to achieve the goal of women empowerment as per the Council’s Gender Equality Action Plan.

While the Council is making efforts to achieve this plan, the vision of the council is to make the island a city where people can access health care and education at a good level by staying in the island, and to make the people of the island religiously aware, to promote unity among the citizens, to make island drug-free, and island with crime-free youths.

The Muraidhoo Council also plans to develop the island infrastructural and socio-economically. Moreover, the council aims to prepare educationally competent youths, to provide employment opportunity for the youths from the island, and providing access to general and infrastructural facilities.
