Foakaidhoo, Goidhoo, Funadhoo, Narudhoo, Kanditheemu, Feydhoo, Lhaimagu, and Milandhoo has reached quarterfinals of Mila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2023 organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council.
In match day seven, six matches were played. In yesterday’s first match of group A, Foakaidhoo won the match against Feevah 4-2. Ibrahim Musheer from Foakaidhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the second match of the group, Feydhoo won the match against Goidhoo 4-1. Ahmed Faain Mohamed from Feydhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the third match of the group, the match between Kanditheemu and Billeffahi ended in a 1-1 draw. Mohamed Yaeesh from Billeffahi was selected as the best player of the match.
In yesterday’s first match of Group B, Milandhoo won the match against Narudhoo 7-0. Ismail Fathuhee from Milandhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the second match of the group, Funadhoo won the match against Maaungoodhoo 5-2. Abdulla Zameen from Funadhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the third match of the group, Lhaimagu won the match against Maroshi 3-2 Mohamed Aleef from Lhaimagu was selected as the best player of the match.
Foakaidhoo will play against Narudhoo and Funadhoo will play against Goidhoo in the quarterfinal matches to be played at Goidhoo. Milandhoo will play against Feydhoo and Kanditheemu will play against Lhaimagu in the quarterfinal matches to be played at Maaungoodhoo.
This year’s tournament is played in Maaungoodhoo and Goidhoo. The Group A matches are played in Sh. Goidhoo. The teams in the group are Kanditheemu, Feevah, Noomara, Feydhoo, Billeffahi, Foakaidhoo and Goidhoo. The Group B matches are played in Sh. Maaungoodhoo. The teams in the group are Lhaimagu, Milandhoo, Komandoo, Funadhoo, Maroshi, Narudhoo and Maaungoodhoo.
This year’s tournament is the second edition of the tournament and last year Funadhoo was the champion of the tournament.
