Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals has secured second slot of men’s division final of ‘Thila Dhekunu Volleyball Tournament 2023’ organized by Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council.
Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals won the semi-final match against Team Naivaadhoo 3-2 sets. Hanimadhoo took the sets (24/26, 25/22, 25/23, 23/25, 15/13). Ahmed Mohamed from Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals was selected as the player of the match.
A total of four teams participated in the men’s division of the tournament. The teams are Team Hanimaadhoo, Vaikaradhoo Viyes Volleyball Team, Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals and Team Naivaadhoo. And five teams participated in the women’s division of the tournament. They are Nolhivaranfaru Lycan, Team Hanimaadhoo, Neykurendhoo Women’s Volleyball Team, Vaikaradhoo Team Viyes and Kulhudhuffushi Hirafus Sports Club.
The tournament is planned in a way which all teams compete with each other and team with the most points to reach the final. And second slot of the final will be given to the winner of semi-final between second and third placed team.
The final match of the men’s division between Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals and Team Hanimaadhoo is scheduled to be played on November 14.
A cash prize of MVR 30,000 will be given to the winning team from each division and MVR 15,000 to the runner-up team from each division.
