Team Hanimaadhoo and Neykurendhoo Women’s Volleyball Team are set to play in women’s division semifinal and Team Naivaadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals are set to play in men’s division semifinal of ‘Thila Dhekunu Volleyball Tournament 2023’ organized by Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council.
The semifinal match of both divisions are played between the second and third placed team after the group stage. As group top team Nolhivaranfaru Lycan has secured a place in the final of women’s division and Team Hanimaadhoo has secured a place in the final of men’s division.
A total of four teams participated in the men’s division of the tournament. The teams are Team Hanimaadhoo, Vaikaradhoo Viyes Volleyball Team, Kulhudhuffushi Club Corals and Team Naivaadhoo. And five teams participated in the women’s division of the tournament. They are Nolhivaranfaru Lycan, Team Hanimaadhoo, Neykurendhoo Women’s Volleyball Team, Vaikaradhoo Team Viyes and Kulhudhuffushi Hirafus Sports Club.
The final matches of the tournament are scheduled to be played on November 14.
A cash prize of MVR 30,000 will be given to the winning team from each division and MVR 15,000 to the runner-up team from each division.
