Land Reclamation of HDh. Naivaadhoo and HDh. Finey Road Development included in the Budget

Budget has been allocated for Road Development of HDh. Finey and Land Reclamation of HDh. Naivaadhoo.

Under the budget for the fiscal year 2024, MVR 8.6 billion has been proposed for the Public Sector Investment Projects (PSIP). And Road Development of HDh. Finey and Land Reclamation of HDh. Naivaadhoo from Haa Dhaalu Atoll has been proposed in the new budget.

In this regard, MVR 4,600,000 has been earmarked for the Naivaadhoo land reclamation project.A total of MVR 150,000 has also been earmarked as a new initiative to set up outdoor gym on the island.

Moreover, MVR 4,668,236 has been earmarked for the Finey road development project.

In addition, a new project in Hirimaradhoo, which is part of Hanimaadhoo constituency, includes the construction of the breakwater in the harbour and harbour repairing works.

The Finance Ministry has submitted a budget of MVR 49.5 billion to the Parliament for the fiscal year 2024.
