Ministry of Islamic Affairs has awarded Sh. Milandhoo and S. Hulhudhoo Mosque Construction Project to LF Construction Private Limited.
At a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre on October 30, the agreement was signed by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali on behalf of the Ministry and Director Ahmed Firaq signed agreement on behalf of the company.
As part of the agreement, a mosque capacity of 700 people will be constructed in Milandhoo. The value of project is MVR 15,174,897.40. And a mosque capacity of 50 people will be constructed Hulhudhoo. The value of project is MVR 17,488,559.49. Both projects are funded by the government’s PSIP budget and is awareded to be completed in 365 days.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that it is a humble request to complete the project and hand it over to the Ministry as per the agreement. And minister also assured that the ministry will continue to extend all necessary support in such efforts.
The two projects, funded by the government’s PSIP budget, have been given 365 days to complete. And these two mosques can be used by both genders to offer their prayers.
