HDh. Nellaidhoo Health Center has requested its resident to be precautious as dengue cases are rising in the island.

According to the announcement by the Nellaidhoo Health Center, they have urged all residents to take precautionary measures in view of the rising number of dengue cases in the island during this period.

In this regard, Health Center requested residents to take special care to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and prevent mosquito bites. It has also been requested to safely dispose of used cans, bottles, bags etc.

Moreover, Health Center also asked keep water in hydroponics clean, use mosquito smoke, lotion, replant, etc. to protect rainwater storing mediums from mosquitoes by closing and using mosquito nets, and other commonly used utensils and buckets should be kept in a way that water does not get stuck in it.

In addition, Nellaidhoo Health Center has also urged people to avoid mosquito breeding while soaking coconut husk and seek medical attention without delay if they have fever for more than three days.
