A cancer screening program held at Ha. Ihavandhoo by Cancer Society of Maldives with help of a team of specialist doctors.
The program was held from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs on Saturday at Ihavandhoo Amina Dhiyo Health Centre.
During the program screening for breast cancer, oral cancer, vaginal cancer, prostate cancer, rectal cancer and anal cancer were held. In the screening program conducted by the Cancer Society of Maldives, Onco surgeon Dr. Shifan, Senior Dental Surgeon Dr. Shiyan, Gynecologist Dr. Jumay, Dr. Veronica Alcantara and Dr. Wong Cheong screened patients.
The Cancer Society of Maldives was established on October 02, 2012, to conduct research, collect data on cancer in the Maldives. Also, to assist cancer patients, conducting awareness on the causes of cancer, and to educate cancer practitioners and patients.
