‘Dhidhdhoo citizens with Palestine’ a rally to be held in Ha. Dhidhdhoo

‘Dhidhdhoo citizens with Palestine’ a rally is set to be held in Ha. Dhidhdhoo to protest for the palestinian people, who have been affected by the atrocities committed by Israeli forces in the country.

The rally is scheduled to be held on Friday, October 27, at 16:00hrs from the island’s main road ‘rahshigan’du’ area.

Speaking regarding the rally Dhidhdhoo Council’s General Secretary Abdulla Shujau stated that the rally is organized jointly by Dhidhdhoo Council, Government institutions in the Island, club/organizations and the people.

Shujau also stated that apart from expressing for Palestinian Independence, the event will also include fundraising activities to raise funds to help the displaced Palestinian people.

Shujau added that it was a great desire of the organizers that all residents of the Island participate in the rally.

A series of events were held in Dhidhdhoo from October 9 to 14 to raise funds to help the Palestinians. The activities raised MVR 132,000.88 to help the Palestinians.
