HDh. Nellaidhoo Council and its residents has launched a campaign to raise funds to assist the Palestinian people who have been affected by the atrocities committed by Israeli forces in Palestine.
According to Nellaidhoo Council, the event will be held for a week from October 19 onwards. As part of the campaign, sea cucumbers were harvested in collaboration with cucumbers harvesters of the island. The money generated after selling these will be donated to Palestine.
Moreover, during this week fund boxed will be kept at various places in the island. Also it is decided to organize children’s evening to raise money by selling various items.
Through the proceeds from these activities, it has been decided to provide assistance to the affected people in Palestine in collaboration with the International Aid Campaign (IAC). The International Aid Campaign has been providing assistance to the displaced people in Palestine.
