Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 80% of Ha. Dhidhdhoo Harbour Extension and Jetty Construction Project has been completed.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that a shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall variation works have been delivered to the project site, 98% of new harbor basin dredging work has been completed and breakwater, quay wall and concrete bridge construction works are underway at the site.

Under the project to develop Dhidhdhoo Harbour MTCC has to dredge 78,000 cubic meter new harbour basin, construction of 81 meter channel breakwater, 49 meter breakwater, 58 meter groyne, 768 meter revetment, and 898 meter quay wall. In addition, construction of a scour apron, installation of harbour lights, installation of navigation lights, mooring buoys, and installation of 9,270 square meter harbour pavement.

The value of the project is MVR 88.36 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
