HDh. Nolhivaram has won the first place of ‘Thila Dhekunu Quran Competition 2023’, organized by Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council for third time in a row.

While Nolhivaram won the first place, Kulhudhuffushi Jalaaluddin School were the runner-up, and Haa Dhaalu Atoll Education Center won the third place.

This year’s competition was held from September 21 to 23, 2023 at Kulhudhuffushi City. A total of 188 students from 15 islands competed in this year’s competition. They are 70 students in the memorized category and 118 students in the non-memorized category.

The competition is held annually by the Atoll Council with the aim of to inculcate love for reciting the Holy Quran in the hearts of the people of the atoll and reviving the art of reciting the Quran.
