Proposals from five islands of Thiladhunmathi has been selected among the BML Community Fund 2023 phase 2 proposal winners.
Bank of Maldives (BML) announced the 10 winning proposals for the second phase of its Community Fund for the year today. The five proposals from islands of Thiladhunmathi are:
- Educational Programs for Women in Ha. Thakandhoo (also for AA. Ukulhas and V. Fulidhoo) by Association of Lady Entrepreneurs
- Outdoor Beach Shower Area in HDh. Nolhivaranfaru by Nolhivaranfaru Youth Development
- Community Programs in Ha. Dhidhdhoo by Feena Academy
- Outdoor Reading Park at School in Sh. Maroshi by Naadhil Mutahideen
- Outdoor Reading Park at School in Ha. Ihavandhoo by Ihavandhoo Masveringe Gulhun
Remaining 5 proposals are:
- Literacy Program for Kids at Fiyavathi in K. Hulhumale’ by The Reading Room
- Establish a Sound System in B. Thulhaadhoo by Thulhaadhoo Sports Club
- Outdoor Reading Park at School in R. Angolhitheemu by Cousin Unity Towards Empowerment
- Vincere Football Training Program in Th. Guraidhoo by Vincere Sports and Recreation
- Installation of Smart School Systems in L. Gan by Maldives Community Empowerment Network
The BML Community Fund is a program to empower NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. As of today, the Bank has provided financial assistance for 100 projects across the country through this Fund
