N. Holhudhoo Harbour Development and Shore Protection Project commenced

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have commenced N. Holhudhoo Harbour Development and Shore Protection Project on September 18, 2023.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that harbour basin dredging operations are currently underway.

Under the project MTCC has to carry out 10,614 cubic meter harbour dredging operations, 1,375 cubic meter dredging operations for detached ramp area, construction of 570 meter breakwater, 14 meter rock boulder revetment, 375 meter geobag revetment, 89 meter quay wall, 10mx9m detached ramp, installation of 418 square meter harbour pavement, harbour lights and mooring buoys.

The value of the project is MVR 43.2 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
