Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that they have commenced Sh. Funadhoo Shore Protection Project.
According to MTCC, the project was commenced on August 22, 2023.
Under the project to protect MTCC has to carry out beach backfilling operations of 21,023 cubic meters and Geobag revetment will be installed in an area of 670 meters. Moreover, Groynes will be installed in 60 meter area.
The MVR 17.18 million project was awarded to the company by National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
