Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has awarded Sh. Funadhoo Land Reclamation Project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
At a ceremony held at the Planning Ministry, the agreement was signed by Director General of the Ministry Fathimath Shaana Faarooq on behalf of Ministry and COO of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa signed the agreement on behalf of the company. And MP Mohamed Shahid graced the ceremony
Under the project MTCC has to carry out 25 hectares reclamation operations, 1185 meter drainage bioswale, 35,400 cubic meter boat beaching dredging operations.
The MVR 139.72 million project was awarded to the company to be completed within 360 days.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
