Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has concluded its internship program for children with special needs.

As part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, four students of care society were given the opportunity to gain training and work experience from the working environment at Velana International Airport. The program was conducted from May 1 to July 31.

Mahjoob Shujau, Managing Director and CEO of MACL, handed over a letter of completion of the internship program to the internship participants at a function held at the airport to celebrate the success of the program. Heads of various departments of MACL and senior officials of Care Society were also present on the occasion.

Moreover, the students who participated in the three-month program were given a special allowance per month. They were also allowed to work in various sections of the company. In this regard they were given the opportunity to work on day-to-day administrative work, customer service work and work collaboratively with other staffs. And these students, with the guidance of supervisors, gained work experience in the workplace.

In addition, while MACL has done a lot of work in the last year as part of its CSR, it plans to do more for the welfare of the community and sustainable development this year.
