The Dodge Ball tournament held at Ha. Hoarafushi by the Council has concluded successfully.
Lions won the Men’s category of the tournament, while Police won the Women’s category of the tournament.
In the women’s section of the tournament, the police team and Lions met in the final. Police won the match 11-8 to clinch the title. Shaushan Hameed of the police team was selected the best female catcher of the tournament. Shifla Hameed of Lions was selected as the best thrower.
In the men’s category of the tournament, Lions cub and Lions met in the final. The Lions won the match 22-28 to clinch the title. Abdulla Rasheed of Dhanmar team was selected the best male catcher of the tournament. Ismail Aish Shareef of Lions Cub was selected as the best thrower.
The tournament was organised by Hoarafushi Council in collabration with local club organizations and offices. The winners of the men’s and women’s category were awarded a cash prize of MVR 5,000 while the runners-up awarded with MVR 2,000. And 7 teams participated in the men’s category and 3 teams participated in the women’s category of the tournament.
