President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated Sh. Feydhoo Harbour Upgrading Project.
The project was inaugurated on Tuesday during President Solih’s ongoing visit to Shaviyani Atoll. The Feydhoo Harbour Upgrading Project was carried out by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project was contracted to MTCC by National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure with a budget of MVR 35.67 million.
Under the project to develop Sh. Feydhoo Harbour company carried dredging operations of 24,456 cubic meter, 9000 cubic meter channel dredging operations, construction of a 317 meter breakwater, a 110 meter revetment, a 280 meter quay wall. In addition, the installation of navigation lights and installation of streetlights, installation of 1782 square meter harbour pavement, a ramp, and mooring buoys were undertaken.
Current administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. By improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives, the administration is paving the way for a brighter future for all.
