President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated Sh. Feevah Harbour Upgrading Project.

The project was inaugurated on Tuesday during President Solih’s ongoing visit to Shaviyani Atoll. The Harbour Upgrading Project was carried out by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project worth MVR 67.6 million was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Under the project to upgrade Feevah Harbour MTCC dredged 40420 cubic meters of harbour basin, 14743 cubic metres of entry channel, constructed a 356 meter breakwater, 474 meter quay wall, 27 meter groyne, and revetment of 182 square meter. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights, and developing a paved area were undertaken.

Current administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. By improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives, the administration is paving the way for a brighter future for all.
