MTCC commenced Land Reclamation under Mathi Komandoo Connectivity Project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced the land reclamation of Mathi Komandoo connectivity project.

Under the project, ratification of 1690 meter of shore protection rectification will be carried out, reclamation of 16.7 hectares of land in Mathi Komandoo, constructing a 1520 meter rock boulder revetment, 353 meter groynes and a 112 meter geobag revetment in the reclaimed area. In addition, construction of a 200 meter long link to connect the reclaimed area to Komandoo and Mathi Komandoo.

The Chartered Dredger “Filipo Brunelleschi” will be carrying out the reclamation works under the project. The project was awarded to MTCC for MVR 249.90 million to be completed within 730 days.
